Kim Kardashian 'to star alongside John Travolta as John Gotti's daughter-in-law in new mobster movie'
She's known for her reality shows, busy love-life and endorsements.
But it looks like Kim Kardashian has now found acceptance in Hollywood, with her name linked with a role on a high-profile mobster movie.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a new biopic of mobster John Gotti, set to star John Travolta.
According to U.S. reports Kim has been in unofficial talks to play the role of Gotti's daughter-in-law, also named Kim.
While nothing has been signed website TMZ reports she is a 'front-runner' for the role.
Gotti was one of New York's most feared - and sometimes revered - crime bosses.
Although Armenian in background, Kim - with her dark looks and vivacious curves - could easily pass as Italian.
The film, titled Gotti, will tell the tale of three generations of the Gambino crime family, who John Gotti, who died in 2002, headed after the murder of the previous boss, Paul Castellano.
Gotti is an Italian surname meaning 'Goths' which originated from Naples and the surrounding region.
Gotti was known as both 'The Dapper Don' for his taste in expensive clothes and flamboyant outspoken style and 'The Teflon Don' for his ability to evade arrest.
In 1992 he was eventually convicted of 13 murders, conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, obstruction of justice, illegal gambling, extortion, tax evasion, and loansharking and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
He died from throat cancer in June 2002 at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri.
127 Hours star James Franco is also reportedly in talks to do the film playing the role of Junior Gotti - who authorities believed took over as the head of the family during his father's incarceration.
