Al Pacino-starring 'Gotti' film undergoes title change
Forthcoming gangster flick will now reportedly be called 'In The Shadow Of My Father'
A forthcoming film about the notorious Gotti crime family has undergone a title change. According to Entertainment Weekly, the film will now be called In The Name Of My Father rather than its original title Three Generations.
The alteration comes after reports that the Barry Levinson-directed film is undergoing a rewrite.
The New York gangland biopic is due to star John Travola in the lead of role of John Gotti Snr, with Hollywood legend Al Pacino playing Gotti associate Aniello 'Neil' Dellacroce.
Lindsay Lohan is also in the cast, playing mafia bride Kim Gotti, along with Joe Pesci, who will star as Gotti's deputy Angelo Ruggier in the Fiore Films production.
Gotti: In The Name Of The Father is slated for a 2013 release.
Before filming starts on the project, Levinson and Pacino are due to start shooting an adaptation of Philip Roth's 2009 novel The Humbling. The pair received critical acclaim last year for another collaboration, HBO TV movie You Don't Know Jack.
